AutoZone Liberty Bowl Makes
Record $140,000 Donation To St. Jude



The AutoZone Liberty Bowl presented a check in the amount of $140,475.31 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on October 2nd. The check represents proceeds from the 14th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl Golf Classic Presented by Proactiv Solution. This is the largest donation the tournament has produced in its fourteen-year history and the fourth consecutive year the AutoZone Liberty Bowl has made a donation in excess of $100,000 to St. Jude.

“We are very thankful for the wonderful relationship St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl,” said David L. McKee, interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer of ALSAC, the fundraising organization for St. Jude. “St. Jude and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl make a great team that is focused on helping save the lives of precious children around the world.”

Bear Bryant coached his final game in the 1982 Liberty Bowl, leading the Crimson Tide to victory over Illinois 21-15. He died on January 26, 1983.
