Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (LBMS) and Tiger Lane Tailgating and Parking Guidelines and Information

TIGER LANE TAILGATING INFORMATION
The Tiger Lane tailgating area is in the center of the property, identified as the Green lots on the LBMS Site Plan. Tiger Lane is accessible from East Parkway South ONLY. Tiger Lane tailgaters are encouraged to travel Northbound on East Parkway South from Southern Avenue and enter Access 8 or 9. Please see “Tiger Lane Lawn” under ‘General Parking and Tailgating Guidelines and Information’ below, for public (on foot) access and guidelines.
SPACE DESCRIPTION AND PASSES:
One (1) pass will be issued per reserved Tiger Lane tailgating space. Each 10’Wx20’L Tiger Lane tailgating space has an adjacent 10’x10’ grass pad and a 1-15 amp electrical connection. Please note: there is a six (6”) inch curb between the tailgating space and the adjacent 10’x10’ grass pad. No trailers or vehicles are allowed on Tiger Lane Lawn or the 10’x10’grass pad. Tailgaters with one (1) pass must make sure that their vehicle/utility trailer/grill/tent/other belongings will fit into their assigned space. None of these items can obstruct or infringe upon drive lanes, walkways, or non-owned/adjacent tailgating space(s). Passes must be visible at all times. Vehicles or emptied trailers without proper passes will be towed from the Tiger Lane tailgating area at owner’s expense. Should your vehicle be towed, please contact the Stadium at 901.729.4344.
ACCESS TIMES AND INFORMATION:
Tiger Lane tailgaters can begin setting up at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day. Guests visiting Tiger Lane tailgaters need to park in general parking areas, and enter Tiger Lane on foot, only. It is the responsibility of all Tiger Lane tailgaters to notify guests.

RV PARKING WITH ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The RV parking with electrical connection area is located in Blue Lot 15 (identified on the LBMS Site Plan), and can be accessed via Access 7 at Central and Early Maxwell.
Each 18’Wx40’L RV with connection space has an adjacent 15’x18’ grass pad. Every two (2) RV spaces have 1-50 amp, 1-30 amp, and 2-15 amp electrical connections. All other RV’s on property must be self contained.

GENERAL PARKING AND TAILGATING GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION
ADA PARKING (GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES LOT ACCESS):
The main ADA parking lot is in Lot 7 and can be accessed via Access 3, off South Hollywood. NO Tailgating is allowed in these areas, and they are first come, first served. All guests parking in these areas much have a valid ADA placard or permanent tag that is visible at all times from the front windshield of the vehicle.
Patron golf carts, ATV’s and scooters are strictly prohibited on property. Any utility trailer, flat bed, truck, or vehicle entering LBMS property carrying this type of equipment will be denied entry, regardless of credentials.
Bus parking is in Tan Lot 13, closest to Early Maxwell and can be accessed via Access 11 off Southern Avenue.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
Drop off and pick up will be allowed at Access 2 off South Hollywood on game day. Due to preparations for game day egress, South Hollywood will only allow outbound (Northbound) traffic from halftime, until the clearing of egress. Guests can be picked up after all outbound traffic is off property, post game.
FIRE SAFETY (OPEN FLAME/CHARCOAL DISPOSAL/GRILLS/FLAMMABLE ITEMS):
NO CHARCOAL, OPEN FLAMES OR GRILLS ON TIGER LANE LAWN ALLOWED. All other open flames are allowed only in enclosed, above-ground containers (chimneys, grills, etc). No tiki torches will be allowed on property. All flames must be extinguished prior to guests leaving their area to attend the game, and all charcoal and ashes must be disposed of in the nearest Ash Bin (LBMS provided) prior to leaving property. Charcoal must be match-light or quick-light type of charcoal. Use of lighter fluid is strictly prohibited. A metal pan must be provided under any BBQ pit to prevent ashes from falling onto the ground. Placement of pits should be such that passers by cannot come into contact with the pit. Please do not leave burning pits unattended, and DO NOT PLACE PITS OR COALS UNDER VEHICLES. PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR PITS TO COOL. LP tanks must be D.O.T. approved for propane use and be equipped with a U.I. approved safety relief valve, a U.L. listed hose in good condition, and proper connections. DO NOT THROW ASHES OR COALS IN DUMPSTERS OR TRASH CANS. Flammable decorations are prohibited. No hay, straw, bamboo, etc. allowed within 35 feet of a tent. A fire extinguisher with minimum rating of 2A:10BC with a current (winthin one year) inspection tag on site. LBMS management reserves the right to monitor the use of open flames, along with the City of Memphis Fire Marshall. Charcoal and grills on Tiger Lane Lawn are strictly prohibited.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Food vendors or organizations selling or giving food, drink, or other items to the general public are not allowed on property without prior approval by LBMS management. Any entities interested in LBMS should call 901.729.4344 and speak with the Food and Beverage Director.
GAME DAY GENERAL PARKING:
Game day general parking on LBMS property can be accessed via Access 7 (Central and Early Maxwell), Access 11 (Southern Ave. and Early Maxwell), and Access 10 (off East Parkway South). General parking is first come first served, CASH ONLY. Parking lots open up for General Parking at 8:00am (CST) on each game day. All general parking and tailgating guidelines apply otherwise.
Generators must remain out of the way of neighboring tailgaters or passers by, and should be well ventilated.

ITEMS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE STADIUM
Guests to the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium are prohibited from entering the stadium with the following:
Baby Strollers, Chair backs larger than a single seat (a maximum of 18" wide, 12" deep with arms), Umbrellas, Cameras with lens greater than 12” and audio or audio/visual recording devices, Laptop computers, televisions or any device that may interfere with technology related services provided by the stadium or for its use, Briefcases, backpacks, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera/video recorder bags, Air horns or any other artificial noise makers other than those approved by the playing teams or their respective conferences, Animals (excluding service animals, those approved for shows, entertainment, etc.), Fireworks or other explosives, Laser pens or laser products of any type, Large Bags/ Backpacks /Coolers/Ice Chests, Outside food or beverages of any kind (alcoholic beverages included) except for medical or infant needs, Glass, plastic, aluminum & liquid containers, Poles or sticks, Balloons, confetti, glitter, objectionable banners or device that may interfere with and/or distract any sports or event participant or stadium guest, Projectiles of any type including Frisbees, baseballs and beach balls, Mask or costumes other than those in support of the playing teams excluding any Stadium Management approved themed events, Weapons of any type, including guns and knives and any other item deemed unacceptable by Stadium Management
In the event any of these items are revealed during a search, guests must dispose of the items or return the prohibited item to their vehicle prior to entry. If you have any questions, please contact the Stadium General Manager at 901.729.4344 prior to the event.
Port-o-lets will be provided by LBMS on site on game day, in areas convenient to all tailgaters and guests. Public restrooms will also be available on the in the two towers on the east end of Tiger Lane.
RV PARKING (General, no connections)
RV parking WITHOUT connections is located in AZLB Tan Lot 13 and can be accessed via Access 11 off Southern Avenue and Early Maxwell. Please look for signage regarding home team and visiting team areas. All general parking and tailgating guidelines apply. For RV Parking with connections, please see “RV PARKING WITH CONNECTIONS” at the beginning of this document for specific details.
Securing personal property is the responsibility of its owner. Please do not leave your area unattended. Secure your area prior to entering the Stadium by placing valuables out of sight, locking down any food and beverage, extinguishing all fires/flames, unplugging electrical outlets.
TAILGATING (Tiger Lane):
The Tiger Lane tailgating area can be accessed via Access 8 and Access 9 off Central Avenuel. Additional parking spaces must be purchased to accommodate oversized vehicles or additional space for tailgating. Barbeques in town will need to purchase an additional space and be able to provide receipts upon request.

NO STAKING, DRILLING, OR NAILING WILL BE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY. Water barrels, sand bags, and cinder blocks will need to be obtained by guests prior to entering property. Guests that are found staking will be held responsible for any and all damage to the area of pavement/asphalt involved. All tent supports must fall inside each guests’ assigned area. On Tiger Lane and the RV w/ connections lot ONLY, tents can be set up beginning at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day, and must be accompanied by an adult until game day kickoff. Tents in general parking lots can be set up beginning at 8:00am (CST) on game day.
TIGER LANE LAWN
The Tiger Lane Lawn is the large grass areas between Tiger Lane tailgating lots, running East from East Parkway South, towards the Stadium. Public without Tiger Lane tailgating passes need to park in general parking areas, and enter Tiger Lane on foot, only. Tiger Lane Lawn follows the same general tailgating guidelines listed on this page, with the following added prohibited items and information. There are no tent structures/grills/trailers/vehicles/large structures allowed on Tiger Lane Lawn. Blankets, lawn chairs, picnic items are all allowed and encouraged in these large grass areas.
Trashcans and dumpsters will be provided by LBMS and are for everyone’s use, and will be positioned in locations for the ease of use. Tailgaters should not move trashcans into their area at any time. Please dispose of trash properly. Waste food items should be placed in plastic bags and in trashcans or dumpsters provided. Please clean up your immediate area at the end of game day.
GENERAL TAILGATING PROTOCOL
All tailgate items, cars, private portable toilets, and tents must fit within the purchased space. Tailgate credentials are good for the specified tailgate space only. Individual’s vehicles that do not fit into the purchased space due to other setup items, must purchase a general parking pass and park their vehicles in that designated location.
No stakes may be used anywhere on the property. Tents and other items must be weighted down.
Each vehicle must be parked inside the purchased tailgate or RV area when on the property. Vehicles parked illegally or in improper spaces will be towed at the owner’s expense.
No golf carts, ATV’s, or any form of unlicensed vehicles are allowed on the property. Vehicles carrying golf carts, ATV’s, or other unlicensed vehicles will not be allowed to enter the property.
The location of public portable toilets, public ash cans, and public dumpsters will be determined by stadium management, and they may not be relocated.
All driveways, fire lanes, and sidewalks may not be blocked at any time. Vehicles that violate this request will be towed at the owner’s expense.
No trailers, hot ash, equipment, supplies or vehicles are allowed on any grass area of Tiger Lane Lawn or the grass pads at any time during the event.
Bicycles, skateboards, scooters and roller blades are prohibited.
Weapons of any kind are prohibited.
No glass bottles.
Under no circumstances are alcoholic beverages to be distributed (given away or sold) to the general public.
The use of candles or open flames is strictly prohibited in or near tents or awnings.
Wood chips or charcoal are to be used only in the cooking operations.
All ash, coals, and grease must be properly disposed of and removed from the grounds.
Ash, coal and grease are NOT allowed on the pavement or grass.
A fire extinguisher with a minimum 2A:10BC rating with a current (within one year) inspection tag on site.
Displaying or use of fireworks is strictly prohibited, and may result in arrest.
Open flames or other devices emitting flame, fire or heat or any flammable or combustible liquids, gas, charcoal or other cooking device or any other unapproved devices shall not be permitted inside or located within 20 feet of the tent, canopy or membrane structure while open to the public unless approved by the fire code official in accordance with section 2404.7 of the 2009 IFC.
All tents, awnings, and approved air-supported structures must be flame retardant. A flame retardant certificate must be attached to the tent or on the site. A permit from the Memphis Fire Department is required for tents 120 sq. ft. and larger.
Fire Department policy will allow participants to use one (1) 20-pound bottle of propane for cooking purposes. The bottle must be secured and not connected directly to the cooking unit. A distance of 10 to 15 feet between the cooking unit and the propane bottle is desirable. All propane bottles must be D.O.T. approved for propane use and be equipped with a U.L. approved safety relief valve, a hose in good condition, and proper connections. Participants may have one (1) 20-pound bottle on site to use as a spare, provided it is secured and located away from any heating unit or open flame.
All guests must adhere to the Shelby County, Tennessee, Code of Ordinances, Chapter 16, Article III – Noise Regulations. It states: Section 16-63. Playing of musical instrument or sound device. The playing of any radio, phonograph, or any musical instrument or sound device, including, but not limited to, loudspeakers or other devices for reproduction or amplification of sound in such manner or with such volume, particularly during the hours between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am, as to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any healthcare facility or in any dwelling or other type of residence, or of any person in the vicinity is hereby prohibited. This section shall not be construed to interfere with activities of a commercial or political nature where such activity is not primarily directed toward residential areas, or healthcare facilities, and where such activity is reasonable under the circumstances. (Code 1992, § 19-43; Ord. No. 168, § 1(3), 10-23-1995) 5
If any displays, props, decorations, materials or other personal property, are used it must fully comply with the Fire Code of the City of Memphis, i.e., all wiring on booths or display fixtures must meet the rules and standards of the City of Memphis Board of Fire Underwriters and Fire Department. Among other precautions, cloth, paper decorations, pine boughs, leaves, tree branches and all other decorations must be flame proofed. Use of combustible material is forbidden.
Any hazardous substance, explosives, gasoline, kerosene, acetylene or other fuel or combustibles are strictly prohibited.
No live animals are allowed, except aides to the handicapped or otherwise permitted by law, statute, or ordinance.
All guest and participant will act in a safe and careful manner and agree not to damage any part of Tiger Lane, RV Lot, or any area or property inclusive of the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium and Fairgrounds.
Stadium management reserves the right at all times to refuse admission to or to cause to be removed from anywhere on the footprint of the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium and Fairgrounds property any disorderly or undesirable person, as determined by the stadium management in its sole discretion, and in the event of the exercise of such authority, the event sponsor and disorderly or undesirable person hereby waives any and all claims for damages against the stadium management.
