The Spirit of 1776 Award is named in honor of longtime AutoZone Liberty Bowl Board of Directors and founding member of the Waterboys organization, the late Harry E. Zinn. The award is presented to an individual who embodies the patriotic theme of the Bowl and who has served their community in an exemplary manner.
